Interiors by Mili, a renowned name in luxury interior and architecture design, proudly presents its latest masterpiece, “BODHI – The Row House.” Situated in the captivating Baner locality of Pune, this exceptional holiday home showcases the firm’s steadfast dedication to crafting spaces that are not only timeless but also deeply entrenched in culture, radiating a lasting sense of refinement.
Inspired by the client’s nostalgic yearning for a holiday retreat steeped in heritage, a compelling design concept emerged. A young couple, in a quest to escape the ultra-modern aesthetic of Mumbai, envisioned a residence imbued with character and adorned with pieces salvaged from their ancestral property. Interiors by Mili transformed this vision into reality, carefully selecting exquisite elements from the client’s ancestral home and seamlessly blending them with vibrant colors and patterns to create a chic modern-Indian haven.
Covering 1600 square feet of carpet area, “BODHI” primarily focused on interior transformations, minimizing structural changes. The journey through this unique home commences in the living area, seamlessly connected to the semi-open kitchen by an elegant glass partition. Beyond the kitchen lies an inviting staff area and a charming backyard. The meticulously crafted design includes a guest bedroom on the right side of the kitchen and, ascending the stairs, reveals a spacious master bedroom and another guest bedroom, with a delightful terrace crowning the experience.
“BODHI” stands as a testament to contemporary living while preserving heritage and tradition, seamlessly integrating with Baner and its rich Bhakti tradition. The infusion of century-old ancestral antique elements adds an opulent touch to this chic modern Indian home, characterized by vibrant colors, dark wood, veneer finishes, and natural stone flooring.
The color palette orchestrates a vibrant symphony, featuring Jaisalmer stone flooring in bright yellow, living room accents in green and red, soothing peach and pink tones in the guest bedroom, and a master bedroom dominated by deep, luxurious blues. The result is a harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity.
Principal Architect Mili Savekar, the creative force behind Interiors by Mili, remarked, “I refrain from blindly following design trends. My strength lies in skillfully merging enduring styles, ensuring our clients cherish their space even a decade later.” Savekar expressed a profound attachment to the master bedroom, featuring captivating antique doors, and the living room’s mesmerizing feature wall adorned with antique columns.
