FIND – Design Fair Asia is an inspiration in West meets East and an opportunity to put Asia on the global design circuit. It is a joint venture with Fiera Milano being organized from 22nd to 24th September 2022 in Singapore. DMG events will get on board the largest and consciously curated collection of interior brands, designers, key opinion leaders, and content from all over the world. The 3-day event will witness the participation of Architects, retailers, interior designers, agents, and design savvy consumers from all over Asia to network, trade, and seek inspiration at the event.
FIND – Design Fair Asia (Furniture, Interiors, and Design) is also an anchor event for the new Singapore design week that will be unveiled in September 2022. Yoko Choy and Tony Chambers who are the key opinion leaders and tastemakers will form the creativity and content pillar at the event and will bring together with team FIND some of the finest talented designers to showcase their work and ideas through the offline and online platforms.
The advisory panel for FIND – Design Fair Asia is inclusive of 19 Insiders and International Speakers such as Lyndon Neri, Rossana Hu, Alexandra Champalimaud, André Fu, and Patricia Urquiola. This panel will explore the role of creative businesses and design in the field of sustainability, the future of wellness, biophilic design movement, post-pandemic hospitality, and the 3Cs in the industry – creativity, commerce and communication, and designing the metaverse.
FIND defines the fair aptly as it describes the things that make designers what they are – a ceaseless curiosity and a desire to observe, search, learn and discover. FIND – Design Fair Asia and Design Singapore Council are bringing Southeast Asia to the spotlight through the first edition of Emerge @ FIND. The appointed curator of the showcase is Suzy Annetta – Founding editor-in-chief of Design Anthology magazine. Annetta will be working with other 50 Southeast Asian designers to present fresh materiality-oriented works.
FIND – Design Fair Asia has signed a memorandum with the Society of Interior Designers and Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) to promote their efforts of building and bringing the community of architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders together, which allows both to host their events at the fair. The former will host its awards dinner at Marina Bay Sands on 23rd September 2022 while the latter will chair its annual board meeting, getting on board the key board members from across its 14 regional offices, at the same property.
To get 70% of the funding for the companies that are willing to exhibit at the fair, FIND – Design Fair Asia has partnered with the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC). These companies should be based in Singapore and should operate three of their major six activities from the city-state. FIND will bring 500 leading brands of the industry along with the virtual and physical visitors together to experience three creative and innovation-packed days. This event is the focal point of the Singapore Design Week and intends to create a global design moment in September 2022.
