Christopher Charles Benninger Benninger, an influential American-Indian architect, planner, and educator, is the founder of several prestigious institutions, including the School of Planning at CEPT University in Ahmedabad and the Center of Development Studies and Activities (CDSA) in Pune. Born in Hamilton, Ohio, Benninger is an alumnus of MIT and Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. His journey took a transformative turn when he accepted an invitation from B.V. Doshi to serve as a Ford Foundation consultant to the Ahmedabad Educational Society, leading to his instrumental role in establishing the School of Planning at CEPT.
