Celebrating Natural Light, Textures & Elegant Handmade Furniture I ADHWA Architecture & Interiors

Ankita Jain and Dhwanil Patel of ADHWA Architecture & Interiors recently designed a home for young family, which is a celebration of natural light, subtle textures and elegant & handmade furniture. The 4BHK home is designed around the central common areas of living and dining bathed in shades of warm natural light through the day. A suitable color and material palette of concrete, stucco and soft furnishings in pastel is used to bring this all together .

The simple layout of the home allows for openness in the common areas, while also providing privacy and silence in the bedspaces. The guest-bedroom seamlessly transforms into a cozy library space – a personal favourite !

The designers carefully avoided any sharp, metallic edges or unnecessary detailing on the walls, as the homeowners have a young child and were looking for a design that would be both family-friendly and childproof.

Even so, the designers did not compromise on creating nuanced details that could easily complement the rooms – such as brass accessories, sleek wooden furniture for the built-in cabinets and lightweight fabricated metal storage areas. They also provided  ample greens in the balcony, as well as around corners of the house make the home a living, breathing haven for the clients.

Furniture pieces and elements which are pleasing to the eye, efficient and future-ready are the key feature of the project. Some dressed textures and raw finishes already seem to be in conversation with each other !
