Oh precious! A dwelling attuned to warmth and Luxury

Oh Precious

Set amidst foliage, water, and nature, Oh Precious is a dwelling for a delicate experience by Muse Lab. A champagne mirror set in a bamboo grove takes you to this delight nestled into serenity. The first image carved on reaching the property is of your own in the mirror and swinging open the door embarks you onto a tour of a warm and interactive space.

The Oh Precious residence is planned with three bedrooms, a living room and a powder bath on the ground floor, and a master bedroom with an attached terrace on the first floor. The exterior is a fully transparent structure made of glass with all the columns concealed within spaces for an uninterrupted view from the glass box. While moving into the living room, to the right is placed a cubist artwork by artist Nirvair that morphs in form with every step and looks like a block of concrete. The living room is approached by kadappa floating in the shallow water bodies surrounding it.

The interiors and exteriors seem to merge seamlessly with the sliding glass shutters pushing back on all three sides. As one enters the living area, the silver and copper glass baubles on the roof captivate attention and at the end of the room is visible a lilac stone bar against a black and clear mirror mosaic. The laying of different elements aligns with the angular staircase unraveling in the living area. The green-tinted light of the jade glass envelope around the patterned marble staircase washes the steps and leads to the master bedroom upstairs.

The master bedroom is equipped with a metallic bed suspended from the ceiling and an attached terrace looking onto three sides of the site. The terrace is curated with a free-standing bar designed using Onyx, brass, and kadappa. Touring the first floor and walking down to the living room to the mosaic wall leads you to further discovery of the design. It has two doors, one opens to the powder room with an amazonite stone finish and the other opens up in a corridor that provides access to other spaces of Oh Precious residence.

The three bedrooms are accessible from the black Kadappa corridor that is cladded on the wall as well as a 3’ high dado and punctured with openings to these rooms. The frame of the openings and the edges of the dado are highlighted with a brass strip and between the brass and frame is found a strip light defining a glowing architrave. To add more drama to the Oh Precious space the mirrored ceiling has red acrylic boxes suspended against it and showcases a red ruby-colored space.

Kadappa stone in different finishes and shades is the major element crafting the look of the space creating an Oh precious effect as the name suggests. The design is a blend of gray and black tones with gray painted walls and solid black Kadappa flooring. The gray tone accentuates elements like the red corridor and jade green staircase and enhances the experience of the house with color pop-ups imposed with a neutral backdrop.

For a wholesome experience, the focal points are inclusive of conscious landscape design. Taking inspiration from the zen garden, rocks are placed together to curate natural furniture for sitting and relaxing. The breathtaking reflection of the building can be embraced from the knife-edge of the pool deck disintegrated by polished chrome installation in the lawn area. The dining pavilion is designed independently of the main structure of Oh Precious, nestled in a water body of its own under the umbrella of a red canopy designed by the mutation lab.

On the other side of the house, an open-to-sky patio is designed with Onyx stools around a fireplace shadowed by the jade green staircase. The trees are also planned mindfully to act as impenetrable surfaces where required and clubbed together at a few spots to formulate sculptures. The experience of this property sets a different vibe and carves an unforgettable memory aligning to its name – Oh Precious.
