Muzaffar Ali’s lyrical journey from cinema to canvas

Celebrated filmmaker Muzaffar Ali, who is known for his award-winning and critically acclaimed films like “Gaman” (1978), “Umrao Jaan” (1981), and “Anjuman” (1986), will showcase his lesser-known artistic side outside of cinema at an upcoming exhibition in New Delhi from 11th January – 21st January 2023.

This exhibition, presented by Masha Art and curated by senior art critic Uma Nair, will feature a variety of paintings, collages, sketches, and designs of both furniture and everyday objects. Some of the paintings on display will include portraits, horses, the Rumi series, landscapes, and a set of stunning collages. Additionally, the exhibition will showcase furniture and objects designed by Muzaffar Ali.
