Designed by Suren Dsouza, the office embodies tropical modernism—a style that seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor elements, creating a harmonious, eco-conscious workspace.
The DDS office captures the essence of tropical modern design, a style that emphasizes a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor environments. The architecture incorporates natural materials, abundant greenery, and open layouts, fostering a sense of tranquility and connection to nature. This approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the space but also underscores DDS’s dedication to environmentally responsible design, establishing the firm as a leader in sustainable architecture in Mumbai.
Sustainability is woven into every element of the new DDS office. By repurposing materials and employing eco-friendly construction techniques, DDS has successfully minimized waste and showcased the aesthetic potential of sustainable practices. Broken marble from various sites has been transformed into distinctive tabletops, and reclaimed wood has been used for furniture, accentuating DDS’s commitment to eco-conscious design. These thoughtful choices demonstrate that sustainability and style can coexist seamlessly, adding character to the workspace while promoting environmental responsibility.
The office design prioritizes an open layout that fosters creativity and collaboration among team members. With larger openings to maximize natural light, the workspace is both inviting and productive. Indirect decorative lighting adds warmth and ambiance, while clean, minimal lines contribute to a calming atmosphere. Pops of color, like vibrant green planters and colorful accents in the conference room, break the neutrality of the space, creating an inspiring and lively work environment that encourages innovation.
