La Derma Hair and Skin Clinic in Salt Lake breaks the stereotype of boring and cold dermatology clinics with its sophisticated and technically advanced space. The clinic, spanning 1200 sq ft, aligns with the brand’s vision of holistic well-being through its circadian lighting, indoor air quality, and biophilic design elements. The Mansioners, who had previously worked with client Dr. Khushbu Tantia, designed the clinic with a focus on creating a warm and inviting hospitality space with a pristine, minimal, and fluid interior that instills a refined experience.
The earlier design grammar, which was dark and moody, needed a complete overhaul to create a rich, vibrant, and dynamic ambiance that is also low-maintenance and durable. The design achieves this with a combination of vinyl flooring, wall moulding, and wallpapers.
Despite the limited square footage, the clinic is divided into eight sections, excluding a storage room, washroom, and passage. Each room is equipped with furniture that complements various functions, such as seating in the entrance cum waiting room, a salon room with a hair wash area, and three rooms for facial purposes. The design is cohesive, and continuity is maintained throughout. There is also a fourth resting room for staff and a fifth office space.
The lighting was a critical choice in the design to ensure the clinic is well-lit but not appear stark. The different areas of the clinic are adorned with muted tones of soft beige, white, and wood, creating a cohesive look, while the moulding on the walls adds a Parisian vibe. The rooms are equipped with furniture that complements various functions, such as seating in the entrance cum waiting room, salon room with a hair wash area, and three rooms for facial purposes.
The design incorporates varying textures to add warmth and delicateness to the overall interior design scheme. The clinic also has a resting room for the staff and an office space. Overall, the La Derma Hair and Skin Clinic offers patients an all-encompassing hospitality space that is technically advanced and refined.
