One of the auction’s most celebrated lots by Indian contemporary artist Bharti Kher is titled ‘An Eye, A Tooth’ and is a diptych wooden panel work with contrasting black and red bindis. The iconic bindi artworks result from a meticulous and layered process where bindis are placed upon one another on the item until their desired effect is achieved.
Another key work in this auction comes from one of the leading Indian contemporary artists, Anju Dodiya. Titled ‘Hauberk’, the double-panelled work. Atul Dodiya painting titled ‘Atul’ with oil paint and beeswax on canvas and sculpture by renowned contemporary artist L N Tallur is also a part of the auction collection
