The concept was inspired by the client’s desire for a home that could embody the vibrant personality and eclectic energy of a character like Rani from Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. This idea, paired with the homeowners’ own intriguing background, gave rise to a unique design process. The family’s roots in Bengal, their love for reading with over 1,500 books lining their shelves, and their passion for travel formed the foundation for a home rich in personality and charm.

Stepping into this 2800 sq ft residence, the transformation is evident. The uninspiring original flooring has been replaced with stunning handmade Atangudi tiles, their bold patterns reminiscent of South India’s sacred temples. These tiles set the tone for a home that beautifully balances dramatic flair with tropical warmth.

The drawing room is a testament to art and opulence. Luxurious curtains frame the space, a bespoke center table from Jodhpur adds grandeur and tall antique-inspired structures evoke an intimate yet majestic heritage. Lime-washed walls, hand-painted borders, polished wooden beams, and distressed furniture textures blend seamlessly, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance.
