Storytelling is important in architecture and extends into how a product is perceived. Studio Dvāra embraced this philosophy when designing the model apartment for Doyen Ascent at Lingampally (a suburb in Telangana), Hyderabad. This apartment is not just a showpiece but a curated contemporary living experience. Through thoughtful design and cohesive aesthetics, the space narrates the ideal life for a modern family, integrating functionality with elegance.
The program is fairly simple: a 2,800sft flat with 3 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and a dining area that leads into a balcony. Space planning helps dictate our design elements and how we treat the interior walls. Upon entering, one is greeted by a fantastic textured living room wall, behind which sits the dining space and a cozy balcony. Soft contemporary furnishings in grounded colors such as blacks, browns, and tans adorn the space—punctured by that iconic pastel pink textured wall.
A custom contemporary folding wooden door adorns the pooja room. The idea was to integrate all the spaces in the house into a similar design language. Cohesive visuals are easy on the eyes, making the house look harmonious and habitable.
Each bedroom has its unique color scheme and design quirks, but they are all united by their simplicity and functional capabilities. While these rooms have designer storage racks and headboards, they are deliberately left uncluttered so that the finishes in the flat stand out. Simple and tasteful design allows the inhabitants to visualize the space according to their usage.
The joy of contemporary lines magnifies when seen with the backdrop of greenery. We had the advantage of styling a cozy balcony next to the dining room with refreshing views of the greenery in the township. With green views from every room and clean, modern interiors, the model flat is our answer to a fulfilling apartment life.
